The Phone Hacking And The Missing Points

No comments: Links to this post
In reality, the phone hackers should be punished on just one shortcoming; if the News Of The World (NOTW) has that amount of hackers on their payroll, why did they not use it to save the Iraq war from happening?

Now the case is like this: had they hacked Saddam Hussein’s phones, and that of his cronies, it would have been easy to dismiss his pretence about a WMD that at last didn’t exist. Why did they these journalists not use their precious skill to save us the embarrassment?

The same blame also goes to the deceitful London Metropolitan Police (MET) which has either refused to investigate the issue thoroughly or has simply hidden what they found. By equation, none of the above excuse is good enough for the MET.

If they did not investigate the matter seriously, it could be assumed that someone in the MET was getting a benefit – obviously a financial one – to not take matters serious. In that light, the MET should be ashamed of itself for not knowing what to do doing what it should. That is inefficiency.

1938Media Ceases To Exist

No comments: Links to this post
The founder and owner of the 1938media has just written the invention close. It seems to come as a surprise and on his blog, praises and pities are pouring in (as comments... ). Below is what I think;
-------------------------------------
Funny indeed. Its a pity it came to this but I am the least surprise. I always know and always believed that it is all a hype; and not just the social media, but the banking, the stock, the whole over-paid lot and empty-dangling-drums-of-nothing. It is all a farce. All everyone wants is to be seen; the pompous cheeky riff-raffs who has no real personality, and says us that substance is a by-goner.
Unfortunately, the big computer-generated numbers would continue and many of the greedy lots, the fakeys, the empty shells, the social media actors like you Loren, will rather live that life to the end... dont worry, your betrayal of them wont do a damn damage; we've all seen it before.

Is Vince Cable Political Prowess Going Down The Saddam's Path?

No comments: Links to this post
As the 90s drew to a close, Saddam Hussein was sliding down from his apex, although not realizing it. Having fought Kuwait, ordered or encouraged ethnic cleansing, bragged here and there and pretended that he got the nuclear weapon, time was catching up with him. Like the UK Business Secretary, Saddam was pretending he will detonate, if pushed.

So here we are again. Rt. Hon Vince Cable, Business Secretary in the 'emergency' UK government has made the same threat as Saddam. In his own words, purely like mimicking the former Iraqi leader, the Business Secretary said if pushed, he will detonate his nuclear weapons and bring down the government. So we are all waiting... Does he really possess any weapons at all; nuclear or ordinary?

As it happened for Saddam with sanctions, the Prime Minister has trimmed the Business Sec’s wings and tried to disable him. In fact, as it clearly is now, no one is actually sure what the Business Sec’s remit is and what he can do.

So is he, just like Saddam, sliding down from his apex and gradually eroding without realising it?

The biggest mistake Saddam made was to not use the said nuclear weapons when the going got tough. Obviously, it happened that he actually didn’t have it. But also, he didn’t surrender before that time.

If the Business Secretary would learn a lesson or two from Saddam, he may save his own soul and hopefully redeem what is left of his reputation (if any).

And the lesson from Saddam would be; to either detonate his weapons now and make the best use of it, or surrender before the battlefield turns bloody. Otherwise, his political prowess, like that of Saddam’s, may perish in the twinkle of an eye…

The Student’s Protest Prosecution Judgement – A Threat To Protesting?

No comments: Links to this post
The judgement by Judge Geoffrey Rivlin QC in Southwark Crown Court to put Edward Woollard behind bars for 32months is overtly heavy handed.
While not condoning Mr. Woollard’s action and all other violence both by the students and police, Mr. Justice Rivlin’s judgement reeks of an indirect stifling of the rights of people to protest.

Although the justice did agree that it is the right of citizens to protest, his statement that his abysmal and tough punishment for this young man defeats that. In the judge’s own words, "This means sending out a very clear message to anyone minded to behave in this way that an offence of this seriousness will not be tolerated." That sounds like a threat to protest.

Edward Woollard’s action is simply unacceptable; period. But for turning himself in, for owning up and apologising, he deserves some decent forgiveness rather than being made a

The Banker And The Barrow Boy

Since 2008 when the first epidemic of financial crisis befell us, the argument within governments and for politicians has not just been about what is right but what to do. In all the confusion, the UK did rather take a decisive step under Gordon Brown and maintained that [somewhat] until now.

In the broil of the whole meltdown originally christened ‘Credit Crunch’, countries have tried different tactics and at a point all hailed Gordon Brown as ‘saving the world’. Of course, if Jesus actually did that, Mr. Brown wouldn’t have needed to repeat it. But again, like Jesus, no one believes he succeeded. Sorry, the world cannot be saved.

Then came the
