Tony Blair On Iraq Invasion: “I Would Do It Again “

No comments: Links to this post
Finally Tony Blair has been quizzed by the Iraq War Inquiry and I hope a few tempers have gone down and perspectives changed. If those wanting his head on the block did bother to listen, some might have been won over, some left in confusion and the rest remain as obstinate as they were.

Nevertheless, the former Prime Minister remained consistent in his defence and reason. In what is simply the best summary of Iraq invasion so far, Mr. Blair re-affirmed repeatedly, he would make

John McCain Shows His Slave-Master’s Tendencies

The news yesterday that Senator John McCain is opposing the repeal of the discriminatory America's 'Don't Ask Don't Tell' (DADT) policy that prohibits LGBT men and women in the armed forces from being open about their sexuality is totally disgusting.

Eight days ago, his wife Cindy bravely showed her support for the general freedom and equality of LGBT people via a bold publicity image. That was welcomed and praised.

That John McCain, a man that strives to be a leader would refer to DADT as a "successful policy" is

Nigeria: Definitely No Hope Of Redemption?

No comments: Links to this post
Nigeria is really a laugh; and as a Nigerian, I am terribly ashamed of her. How much so can a country be vague, vacuum and lack objective? Watching the Nigeria Foreign Minister, Mr. Ojo Maduekwe (pictured left) on BBC Hardtalk now, it is completely embarrassing that all he can say about his boss's state of health and whereabouts is a spitting 'No...' No what?

And like Nigeria and Nigerians, justifying every failure within their domain with mistakes

Cindy McCain Poses For Gay AD Opposes John McCain View.

When I first saw the headline in my inbox this morning, I thought it was just a PR bait to get my click. But no, it was real. Cindy McCain, the wife of Senator John McCain, who openly refuses to accept same-sex partnership let alone marriage, is herself openly and bravely supporting gay marriage.

And before you ask, yes, she is still married to old McCain. So you can agree with me this is a bold step and one worthy of adoration. I think that the LGBT community surely appreciates such a support. Not because we think that it is special for people to endorse our existence and Human Rights; not all. But because we think that it takes bravery to stand up for truth.

Common Sense Isn’t Quite Cheap, Let Alone Common

No comments: Links to this post
Are we reaching a melting point in understanding ourselves in today's society or is it too much knowledge creating negativity? Where has wisdom gone and besides, what is wisdom nowadays? May be its time we stop and think.

Today two landmark cases made their way through the law courts in Britain but both in different

EDM 575: Join To Appeal To British Government & EU

No comments: Links to this post
The Early Day Motion (EDM) on the Anti-homosexual Bill in Uganda tabled in the House of Commons earlier this week by Harry Cohen, Member of Parliament for Leyton and Wanstead is an assuring sign of the support of the British people for freedom for all around the world.

The present Labour Government of UK made a record in history for Lesbian, Gay Bisexual &

LGBT Britain; Can We Really Trust David Cameron?

No comments: Links to this post
The revelation by the Liberal Democrat (LibDem) on Saturday that even David Cameron (DC) voted against repealing the famous and gagging Section 28 in as recent a time as 2003 is quite shocking. DC should have known better, but it is no surprise all the same.

Nonetheless, this raises a huge doubt about DC's apology on same issue last year. With this revelation, one is forced to scrutinize the manner of that apology, the scenario, presentation, and worst above all, the wording thereof. And you could begin to see the whole mockery in it.

In his words, "I am sorry for Section 28. We got it wrong. It was an

The Storm Assembles At Stormont Assembly

No comments: Links to this post
For future reputation, Peter Robinson should fully resign his position. As it stands now, it is unimaginable what boldness he would mutter to face the world in his public position flanked by a wife with a CV like the one she has now and the surrounding embarrassments.

But those are just by the way compared to his reluctance to quit. While not proposing that this family storm

The Bible, Christianity & Discrimination

No comments: Links to this post
Ah! It says on the tin, "MP, Christian woman, Mother, Wife, Good to represent her people, etc". But Iris Robinson has proved all that as wrong with more revelations as the minutes go by. She is a Paedophile instead. She abused a 19 year old Kirk McCambley.

However, the betraying in this whole transaction lie in the shameful fact that Kirk McCambley was ENTRUSTED into her care by the young man's dying father. REPUGNANT! Iris' behaviour points to

Iris Robinson’s Deceptions Finally Caught Up With Her

No comments: Links to this post
So Iris Robinson was using gay bashing to cover up her disgraceful illicit affair outside of marriage. Of all her shameless rant against gay people and even to the point of claiming that gay people could be cured, she was the one that needed curing.

How are the mighty fallen? Her confession of cheating her husband of 40 years (and only heaven knows with

Labour Hewitt & Hoon Wrong Approach Is A Pity

No comments: Links to this post
While the news trend seemed to be struggling with the big freeze snow, Patricia Hewitt and Geoff Hoon were somewhere plotting to heat up the political rooms. But disappointingly enough they pressed the wrong button.

It is funny though that everyone is surprised that Hewitt and Hoon would do this. Isn't the surprise in the fact that they didn't do their homework well in the first place so to understand that this isn't going work? How so degrading can they paint themselves again? It was the same style of plot that James Purnell and Hazel Blears used

First Election Move By Labour And Cameron’s Wobbling

No comments: Links to this post
Was that another cast-iron guarantee botched today? With all the noise about cuts, austerity, etc, Cameron just wobbled and staggered at the first whistle of election campaign. Nooo; we all are disappointed.

In just one push by the Labour, the opposition leader forgot all the texts on his presentation. Far too

War On Terror: Is It Really?

No comments: Links to this post
I was just about to go to bed when this news broke; "Tougher US air screening for 'terror-prone' countries". And behold, just as mentioned in a post some days ago, Nigeria made the list.

"On another hand, as he is a Nigerian, it adds to the burden we bear being blanketed criminals almost every time. It is currently tough travelling through international borders as a Nigerian or with a Nigerian passport, not to talk of a Nigerian making it into the much-feared terrorism club"

Man And God, Who Really Made Who?

Of many things that happened in the year 2009, this advert on buses across the UK was one of my favourites. There are quite a lot character surrounding it but those who countered it made fools of themselves even from the perspective of their own God.

Not just by confirming that their belief has stolen their senses as their bible says in Jeremiah Chapter 5 verse 21 "Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not" (King James Version) and in the following references: Isaiah Ch. 6 vs 9;

Maryam Babangida: An Icon Of Corrupt Good Cause Dies

No comments: Links to this post

In 1960, the British colonial government that straddled Nigeria from the mid-eighteenth century gave up their place albeit reluctantly, to the indigenous people. Regardless of how much we accuse the colonialists of stealing from us, it is shameful to accept that they left us in a better state than the country is in today, 50 years on.

As the 'indigenous' people embarked on a more clever stealing due to local knowledge, the crippled

Lesser Control By Governments May Save This New Decade From The Failures of The Last

The calendar has transposed hence most people jump up ecstatically in celebration; quite right. If only the world would consider itself equal in suffering as in celebration? If only the pretence of shared joys and jubilation of the Christmas and New year events is constant and consistence in our relationship round the year... but unfortunately, it isn't.

As the new counter begins, one begins to wonder if our approach could also be reviewed and
