David Cameron: The Loss Of A Child

No comments: Links to this post
Having children is sweet and even taking care of and living with them is sweeter; coming home and finding someone innocent who would have forgiven any earlier offence; who would welcome you back with an open-mind regardless of any feeling. Really, children are sweet to be around.

It therefore makes me imagine the pain of a parent who lost theirs. And thinking of it, the longer you have lived with that child, the tougher the loss. And where that child is one that needed extra care, love and attention, you may also find out that you are very strongly attached to him/her. This is not to say that such a parent is prejudiced to other kids but that an ill-health context creates these things. Bonding therefore with this child is inevitable.

As I read of the loss of David Cameron's eldest, my heart cannot but think how terrible the family must feel at this time. It is a loss that will forever remain in their heart as the love they have for their child Ivan would be yelling to provide him all the support they can, through his lifetime.

I wish them and all other parents similar situation strength to bear their loss and wisdom to move on.

Nigeria's progress in democratic governance, promotion and protection of human rights

No comments: Links to this post
The Nigerian government, during the 4th Session of United Nations Human Rights Council's Universal Periodic Review (UPR) on February 9, 2009 in Geneva, presented its National Consultative Forum report which addresses the human rights condition in the country. Below is the most scary paragraph. Note the emboldened phrase, which puts a question mark on human rights in Nigeria... for LGBT persons.

"The United Kingdom wanted to know the position of Nigerian Government on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender rights. As we have indicated in our National Report, we have no record of any group of Nigerians, who have come together under the umbrella of "Lesbian, Gay and Transgender" group, let alone to start talking of their rights. Of course, as citizens, all Nigerians have their fundamental rights guaranteed by the Constitution. During our National Consultative Forum, we went out of our way to look for the Gay, Lesbian and Transgender group, but we could not come across Nigerians with such sexuality. If they are an amorphous group, then the question of violence against them does not arise, let alone negotiating special rights for them. With regard to same-sex marriage, this is illegal in Nigeria, and until the law is changed, it remains so. The British in their wisdom bestowed the law against same-sex marriage to us, for which we are grateful."

What loads of shit that is. And to be said by a Foreign Minister who, by the responsibilities of his office, should know better. But Mr. Ojo Maduekwe, portrays his lack of knowledge and understanding of freedom and rights and hence do not meet the requirements to be engaging with the outer world on behalf of a country. I am completely disappointed and continuously afraid that gay people like me in Nigeria, faces even more risk to their lives since the government remains adamant to our proposals for dialogue. And worse still for this new-found-principle of denying our existence.

So, by that bold phrase above, Nigeria becomes the only country in the world to have cheated nature not to have gay people. But unfortunately, they did not look very well, because I am a Nigerian, and I AM A GAY MAN. Such bollocks by the group who should be leaders therefore leaves so little to be desired of one's country considering the number of proud and out gay, lesbian and transgender people from Nigeria.

Power Drunkenness - The Worst Single Evil Of Our World

No comments: Links to this post
Why are human beings always power-drunk? Why do people, once in power, lose their common thinking? How can we really find the cause behind power greed? My heart bleeds for this single act that plagues man; from east to west. It is same in all sphere of life.

What is it that rules the heart of human that always makes us think that we are so so so good that it is only ‘I’ but no one else. Looking at the natural world, with all our inventions – and mind you, man has done well – we are still infested with a lot of narrow minded persons. Unfortunately, these people are not of any particular class, dynasty or orientation yet the same mental ill-health affects them once in a position of power.

No particular religion would be singularly accused of influencing this because even this is a core and strongest evil of all religion themselves. Since they all claim to be right and the ‘only’ way; as if there is a destination apart from death.

Mugabe wont leave power; Hugo Chavez is clawing on; Obasanjo of Nigeria was shamed out; Putin is still not letting-go and still very much in control. Saddam was only forced by the use of greater powers, even every American president always runs for second term and would go further if allowed. In Britain, Margaret was deserted, Tony bowed to expression of ‘no-confidence’, Brown is now the ‘only messiah’ or we perish. Pervez Musharraf of Pakistan, Fidel Castro of Cuba, Hosni Mubarak of Egypt, Muammar al-Gaddafi of Libya... and the list is endless. Yet, when you compare, these people all came from different religion, educational background, family class, etc.

But what drives these people and makes them think they are the long-awaited saviour – although we are sure there isn’t any saviour, let alone coming. But the same egoistic error has been made since world immemorial and yet none of the previous ‘all-knowing best-qualifieds’ has left their followers satisfied nor solved the world's problems. So shouldn’t the present ‘bests’ learn from the past 'bests'?

Anyway, thank goodness they are not in-charge of the air. (???)

The Lipsy Sorry From The Wise Bankers

No comments: Links to this post
Yea, the former financial failures are sorry and why not; if they have made millions from it, then lost a few pennies as they told (not that I argue that) MPs on the Treasury Committee today. But so what? Should we have to refund them their losses too after reimbursing their failed banking institutions?

Although Fred Goodwin did indicate he is not complaining – not that any sensible person would – I still think they should return what they took. This can be justified by the evidential fact that the ‘good’ work they were paid for aren’t any good at all.

It isn’t good because the banks failed under their watch. It isn’t good because they made the decisions that ran the big institutions into mud. It is obviously not any good management because they set about implementing bad business practices and self-reward system that saw them acquire enormous amount of shares for nothing while leaving billions of bad debt.

Yet, just last week, the same RBS was still very proud to want to pay out around £1b in bonuses again. Of course; why wouldn’t they? After all the tax cow is still heavy with milk. Funny enough, today, they want to cut over 2000 jobs. You may ask just like me, why pay bonus if jobs can’t be saved?

I have never seen a more ridiculous management and decision making. But many will argue that they men at the top are bright student of best universities which I am not. Intelligent idiots I say.

Is Barclays Profit Real and Truth? Government Please Verify

No comments: Links to this post
Is Barclays telling us the truth or just trying to keep business going? I think with recent developments that has brought fear and trepidation to the rich and mighty while leaving the poor and less-privilledged mashed and squashed; it might be worth the government verifying the accounts and audits of Barclays to save us more sorrows.

As we have seen and still experiencing, I do think it will take good time to rebuild the trust in the financial sector again; not after the Madoff and Raju spin off that digested billions into excreta. Recently, heard of Northern Rock wanting to give bonus, even RBS. As the Chancellor has correctly said following Obama’s proposal to cap take-homes, the general public is also entitled to know the real truth behind these accounts as evidence abound now to dissuade any sensible person from accepting just figures.

I bank with Barclays and have always loved her, but trust has to be given evidence for what is going on now and proved. The government must not fail the populace by turning its back onwards.

Well Done Jeremy Clarkson

Jeremy Clarkson Apology

It is good that Mr. Clarkson has realized the mistake of his remarks about Gordon Brown. And like I said below, it is not just about Mr. Brown, but it is also about us all as persons being able to respect each other equally regardless of our disability.

Jeremy Clarkson’s apology makes sense not only for doing it but for how he approached it. "In the heat of the moment I made a remark about the Prime Minister's personal appearance for which, upon reflection, I apologise."

Good for all of us. Well done Jeremy

TopGear Jeremy Clarkson's Folly

No comments: Links to this post
Jeremy Clarkson has disappointed some of us who enjoys his freaky talks on TopGear with his recent disregard for disability.

I think that Gordon Brown is one of those people we should praise who has defied their disability and built ability. For Jeremy Clarkson to make a jest of such very sensitive thing about Mr. Brown or anyone in particular is more foolish than any other he could have. Calling Gordon Brown a liar is ok since politicians get called all sorts of names especially when they hold key offices. But using a deformity that’s on his body is entirely ludicrous and represent no sense for human dignity.

The only thing Mr. Clarkson has to be aware of is that while one still lives, anything may still happen and we have no control such. So, just to remind him, he might still loose an eye, a leg, or even his ‘brilliant’ mouth. But I wish he don't.

BBC & Carol Thather's Case: Further Eroding Of The Human In Us

No comments: Links to this post
I think the BBC is wrong to sack Carol Thatcher for a private comment she made while labelling it racism or what-the-hell-ever they think. I do like the BBC a lot; well, just like most other people but this is an affront to friendship and banter.

This is completely a political correctness gone too far, and one of the rare things I dislike this society for. We have gone to the point that people are afraid of sharing jokes just so they don’t become objects of cheap political brevity and heroism.

What so much as to baffles as well as worried me is that the “golliwog” tennis player has not complained. Same goes for the whole Prince Harry’s ‘paki’ affair lifted onto the podium. The said ‘paki’ did not complain in 2 years since the affair only for every damn toothless political stray to jump on it as that’s the only sort of thing they can find to indicate their existence.

I do think Carol Thatcher should make no apology, conditional or unconditional. And if need be, should only say it to the person affected. People should be allowed to be human and not objects, we all call or get called names by close pals. And being in the public eye should not stop people being human with their close friends while keeping the ‘set up’ personality we want them to be in public affairs.

BBC should apologise to Ms. Thatcher for making her private life a public affair this time.

Equal Rights Is When Some Dont Wield Power Over Those They Disagree With

No comments: Links to this post
Now I was thinking,

Who the hell is the pope and all others who try to decide what life should be; for sex, family, love, marriage, etc?
What the hell gives these people the idea that their thought and religion and belief is ‘the right’ one?
Why on earth can they not see their own tyranny and the vividity of evil in their ideology?
How for fairness sake can they keep believing in a god that is the product of their mind and thoughts instead of believing in themselves?

I am thinking;

Damn them all uncountable times and may the torture of intolerance they create dwell in their domain.
Freedom is the motto and freedom we must attain.
And freedom only is when wicked men like these respect the right of others to choose their own life as it pertains not to them.
To hell with them for thinking righteousness and doing evil through dictatorship.

Tell them; go and tell them that I said;

As it is their right not to have sex, so it is our right to have sex.
As it is their right to read whatever crap holy book they chose, so it is our right to read our memoirs.
As it is their right to wear dresses, so it is our right to wear pants or whatever we chose.
As it is their right to be naturally celibate, so IT IS OUR RIGHT TO BE GAY.

And highest of all tell them;

that we will not fight them but the hatred they have for us will torture their pursuits for ever.
That we will not touch them but that our peace and calm will continue to baffle them.
That we will not avenge them but that the failure of their religion will convince them.

Finally, remind them, that no matter what they do, they cannot change or re-make nature.
