Scientology could be whatever it wishes to be. There are various other cults and evil men and women existing... In the case of groups, it is up to those who join them to do so on their own intent.

As I said below, that someone does not like such groups, should not mean name calling. Whatever they do to their followers remains them and their followers business. If the follower do not like it, then s/he can get away from them. And I think this is the point where such person's right to not be disturbed by such groups starts.

Nevertheless, I think people should be advised to research before they join such groups instead of being advised not to. Doesn't such equate to the Catholic church advising people not to read Da Vinci Code... it made me to read it instead.

I am not interested in Scientology nor in any religious group, but I do not worry about their existence. They will only offend me if they touch me or step on my own toes. My family members go to their different churches or mosques, and it doesn't bother me what they experience there either. The only problem is that kids should be left to grow without these corruptions; of religion or protests. That child must have been encouraged by an adult.

The young person has deemed it fit to engage in insults.... If the law says such words should not be used, then the law has to be obeyed and sensibly protested until reviewed and amended.

The Church of Scientology (or whatever it is called) has its right to exist and some people want to belong to it. And I also believe that those members have their right to chose what they want and are old enough for such; this points to the freedom of association, expression and belief. That some other person does not like it, does not, in any way, give that other person to insult it or use depraving words; any group could be a cult or regarded as one depending on what another person feels. If the young person had decided to indulge in such acts, s/he must also be able to face the consequences. I do not believe that this case makes mockery of Britain's freedom of speech; rather, its a case of trampling on others' right of existence and freedom of association which also this State upholds and this equates to a case of calling people 'black monkeys'; a case of calling people of different religion other insulting names and/or being discriminatory towards others for their differences. The child behaved old enough to insulting others, I therefore think his characters portrayed a lot of confidence to defend it for its consequences (which is the situation now).

It is high time we re-inculcate into young people the act of responsibility and not only rights. If one should have rights, s/he should be ready to shower the responsibility thereof.

All the best to the young person but no group or persons deserves to be insulted to achieve our self(ish) opinions as such would encourage continuous discrimination, disregard and disrespect for others whom we dont agree with.
