GayRomeo; Done It Again(www.gayromeo.com)

Sometime ago, I did mention GayRomeo here, a gay website based in Germany and its various niceties and usefulness as one of the most friendly and accommodating platform for gay men. Though that was seen as well written, yet I must tell you that the goodies on GayRomeo were not totally catalogued in that writing, yet it never stopped coming.

Before I proceed, may I inform you reader, and congratulate the team at GayRomeo, of the introduction of the French and Spanish version of the website. It is a wonderful feat to achieve for a team as few and very informal as you compared to the other big websites who are making fortunes out of gay people. Bravo!

Well, like I have said above, the goodies seems to gush out like from a spring. For those of you who have visited GayRomeo since reading of it from here, and many who has taken the advantage to register and use it as well, I bet you must have seen the newest on the block; the profile design alternatives.

That means guys, that you can now choose from a vast variety of design to put your profile on giving it a more artistic touch to fit your person. These designs are wonderful in the sense that while those we have seen before on other gay websites were only based on colour changing, GayRomeo’s incorporated both colour and design ranging from stuff like African ethnic, Army, Bears, Construction, Fire plumes, Notepad, Wood, etc; just to mention a few. In all, there are 41 gorgeous designs to choose from and whenever; yet, more to come.

So now guys, if you were not a blue peter, you got a choice now and can toy with it. These designs are also very easy to deactivate would you want to go back to the root. So much good naturedness are these GayRomeo guys too that they made this available to even guest users; what a kind hearted fellas.

I reckon by now, you have no reason to think twice of using this cool website. Blue actually represent cool, but then GayRomeo do recognize the fact that some of you are blazing red hot, others soldiers, builders, bears, etc. whatever you are, there is a design for you among these 41 wonderful cute handiwork. You can even change to different one every time you need. I bet one for a week is almost different design for each week of the year… heheheee

Now give it a try, it can add to your attractiveness…. hehehee.

My Passion Series - Tesco, M&S, others

No comments: Links to this post
Since living in the UK, few businesses have attracted me due to their nature, style of operation and reputation. These businesses have endeared me so much that I tend to take them as epitome of good entrepreneurship. Excellent in their appearance, they were mainly started out of good focus and a sense of struggle. Today, they stand as colossuses over the nations and have become household names.

TESCO: I do like the colour blue especially when it is in a dark shed. So when on my way from Heathrow airport coming into London on my first arrival I saw Tesco, I have never stopped being curious of what makes it thick. In a twinkle, I learnt it is the biggest chain supermarket store. I fell in love straight away with it. To say, it also become my goal to work for Tesco although I never get to doing that. But you can guess, I do 98% of my shopping at Tesco. Its staff is very friendly, and knowledgeable about the business. Stop any one of them in the store and request for any item, they can tell you straight away which aisle to find it or even take you there and pick it up. So far, Tesco’s customer service is the best I have seen among the super markets. Without ending it there, the price of goods are worth the quality. Agreed that you get some things cheaper in some other supermarkets, yet, their quality can never be justified. Think I’m biased? Check them stores yourself. And Tesco Clubcard? You bet me, its useful even though it keeps you buying more, but sure, you wont be a fool to buy things you don’t need.

MARKS&SPENCER: I like M&S too. Not particularly the colours, although it’s a beautiful colour, but I simply like her because it is a fruit of entrepreneurship. M&S also looks very simple too. And a more inclusive reason is that I really don’t know what M&S is; a supermarket or fashion store? You tell me please. But it has a decent appearance.

VIRGIN; is really worth admiring. From the powerful aim of one man, a conglomerate has been built that today provides one duty or another in various forms to almost all of us in the UK and beyond. With its royal red and simple logo, Virgin obviously has earned itself a place in human living and in a modest way. Modest in the sense that a young man struggled and weaved a mighty net catching uncountable number of fishes. Virgin is absolutelyadmirable.
Well, others include HSBC, Barclays, Vodafone (of course), and some Charity organizatons. Mind you, these are my personal opinion and are formed solely from my reasons. Your comment/s is/are welcomed.

The Male Body

No comments: Links to this post
The world began sometime ago when no man can actually fathom out. Through the various generations it has come through, cultures, styles, activities, etc have changed with and moved on along with it. And so, without argument or disagreement, we can see the vivid differences between the 1900s and the 2000s.

Well, one of the very big differences that today are facing us uncomprehendingly is the discovery by the male folks of the magnificence of its body. Without going beyond the foreseeable past, it is very unarguable that between the past century and the present, no time has been when the male body has been paraded like the present, even more than the female folk who has always had that exclusive right.

Observing our time, I have come to marvel at this exposure. My attention is drawn really due to what I have noticed that is a trend. Foremost among the various means of exposure is the style of leaving the trouser below the hips or even beneath the bum. With this particular style, the male folk have declared its romantic shapeliness and sexual weaponry.

Another is the use of jewelleries, which today seem to be in competition between the sexes. Necklaces, watches, ear-studs, rings, and braces are now fashion enhancement object not left to the assumed rightful owners; women. Men also have taken to real general body exposure. The 6 pack is one of men’s instruments of beauty it has used to create a centre of attention. One is no more surprised to see the image of a near-nude male on the TV, the Internet, glossy magazines, etc. In fact, the disagreement of many, especially religions, over the exposure of the female body has led to the male counterpart making a good use of the opportunity to advantage. And thus we now see the glory and splendour of the male body.

Many other tools are being employed: tattoos, hair-styles, muscles, clothing styles, etc. Time has gone when it was women clothes that takes the main display spaces of boutiques; even men under-wears are not left out; far to the point of designs, etc.

But come to think of it, is the male body not really admirable? Is it not good to behold? Have men no right to take care of their body to attractiveness? I do not ask these questions because anybody has stood against it, but to underline the very pride and excellence that has been neglected in the past.

Exposure of men’s body existed and has been in the past along all the age, but the level of its declaration is now at a more meaningful, romantic/sexual and grateful expression. And thus human, in this age, has seen more of the beauty of nature, the glory of God’s design in the male body.

My Passion Series - The Queen (2)

No comments: Links to this post
Well, I have stated how much I do admire Her Majesty, the Queen. Now watching a BBC program on BBC 1 TV, I was to see again from another perspective, the child, the girl, and the young wife turned ruler.

In 1947, she made a statement that till today she has kept to. That was down in South Africa. The statement that she pledge her life to the empire, was a great and very incriminating one, but she has kept to it. She has shown tenacity in approaches to life even when she refused to attend the registry marriage of her son and the new Duchess which touched on her view of divorce..

The lady could be said to have been designated for this role in life. Relating from her background, it was fate that brought her into the line of monarchy. When in 1936, King Edward abdicated the throne, providence not only did a swift spin, her future seems to had done a right-about-turn; yet the speed that followed her being enthroned was rather unexpected. The death of her father at a very young age of 56 thereby capturing her for the grand saddle she has controlled this 54 years to this day.

The queen cannot be denied being a wise person. Compared to her sister, the gorgeous Princess Margaret, one cannot but see the homeliness of Elizabeth. Becoming a celebrity by virtue of her position, she has been very moderate, sensible and cautious especially in dealing with sensitive political or other issues.

Queen Elizabeth has done well also, comparing how rapidly the world has changed in the last 5 decades. It is marvellous how she has gone on with the changing times but not doing away with her principle.

Talking of principle, and watching her coronation, the precision of its spiritual implication spell out how much separated she becomes and how cautious she must be especially with words. Elizabeth was not only enthroned queen of the British Empire, but she was consecrated unto God. And onto that she has portrayed so much dedication. Most people forget that she is not just a queen, but the leader of a church.

Queen Elizabeth II has seen the invention of the TV, the overtaking of the world by the computer, the cellular, the GSM and of course, haven’t we all watched her use an Ipod? For majority of us, she is the only monarch we ‘ve known. Tony Blair was born; he went to schools, entered politics, all in her time. So talking to the young man Tony, the queen can easily make his head swindle by going back to the sessions she held with Winston Churchill in the 50s.

Long live our noble queen

My Passion Series - The Queen (1)

No comments: Links to this post

Right from the time I was born, like I mentioned in my last write-up, the British monarch has been one of the very few institutions I had fallen in love with. The reasons as well are far more emotional than word can express. But the main reason is the queen herself.

I might suspect my admiration of Her Majesty as a fall out for my love for Britishness, but far from it, she is a woman I adore next after my mother. Watching her in the past 26 years of my life, my admiration of Queen Elizabeth II has been formed from the humility of the persona she portrays. You may argue with me, but it is agreeable that she has not in the long years on the throne shown pomposity nor arrogance. Most people may disregard her due to the mere opinion that they don’t want monarchy, but I admire her for the mere opinion that she hasn’t been an arrogant monarch.

Second to that, I admire her because she is a woman. Now that’s another argument. In a world where women are not allowed to be in charge, the queen has held on and been a ruler of billions without opposition. Now this links up to the above paragraph, her humility and calm celebrity creates no room for challenge. Although politics and democracy has usurped powers from the throne, yet whatever power that is left there has been used with charisma and respect that sometimes one accepts that it is very easy to be in power and not be power-drunk. With the likes of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, Jesus wouldn’t had made the comment that “it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for the rich to enter heaven”, because, in all her wealth, supremacy, affluence, and exalted position, she has dined with the rich and poor, spoken like a mother, bore her burdens maturely, and never taken over the front pages due to an argument or disagreement.

I can go on and on with the reasons why I admire the queen, her throne, her person and the institution she leads, but with a reasonable thought, you can agree with me, she is a wonderful person. Just put yourself in her shoes and imagine how you would have behaved…

Well, come 21st April 2006, Her Majesty will be 80. I am sure I won’t have the chance to say a happy birthday to her in person, but in all my heart, I do wish her the best of it.

On Sunday, by 9pm, the BBC will be showing a first of series of program on the queen and her 80th, guess what, I will be glued to my little 14” and see it all. And in case you don’t know, in my room is a card picture of the queen on the wall. I am still hoping to save up and buy a befitting one. Call me crazy, but sure, she is one of my passions

God bless our gracious queen.
