GayRomeo.com: free registeration, unlimited messaging

3 comments: Links to this post
In the last few decades, the world has seen a new development in almost everything that has been kept to thrive. The leap from a mere world separated by great waters to a world existing on one virtual surface has been quite dramatic that it has left most people, especially we the adventurous ones giggling with laughter and happiness. What a nice time to be born?

Looking behind, one cannot but agree on how much impact the Internet has made to achieving the above scenario.

One of the group of humans that has benefited exceptionally well in this new lease of life is the gay community. While gay men (especially) and women suffered alienation and loneliness in their various community of birth, past generations of them must have wished they were never born. Today, it is different.

The internet through websites like GAYROMEO have been instrumental to reducing the sufferings that these sect went through, especially isolation. Though one may suffer rejection, but if he can find friends who are like him, who believe in what he believes, who are going through the same veil of misery as him, he or she will be strong to face his rejections. Thus when sites like GayRomeo came up, they insulated the gaps that existed.

GayRomeo is based in Germany and run by 7 great friends. It is a wonderful site that let gay men connect from across the world. Friends are made, meet-ups achieved, relationship established and even partnership entered. All due to connection via GayRomeo.

One nice thing about GayRomeo is that while most other gay platforms limited daily message sending, GayRomeo let its users, both paying and non paying, send as much messages as they can in a day. Most guys have seen this as very useful since interaction is the hip bone to establish and build a tangible communication.

So would you like to interact with people without prejudice, this is the platform for you. Get it going. It’s free registeration. Its unlimited messaging. It’s a great launch into the world; for friendships, meetings, understanding, and who knows, it can even be marriage… hehehe
Bravo to the guys at GayRomeo and well done all users of the site

Bravo to the guys at GayRomeo and well done all users of the site.

Are You Thankful???

I am Thankful:

FOR THE WIFE WHO SAYS IT'S SPAGHETTI TONIGHT BECAUSE SHE IS HOME WITH ME, AND NOT OUT WITH SOMEONE ELSE.

FOR THE HUSBAND WHO IS ON THE SOFA BEING A COUCH POTATO, BECAUSE HE IS HOME WITH ME AND NOT OUT AT THE BARS.

FOR THE TEENAGER WHO IS COMPLAINING ABOUT DOING DISHES BECAUSE IT MEANS SHE IS AT HOME, NOT ON THE STREETS.

FOR THE TAXES I PAY BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM EMPLOYED. FOR THE MESS TO CLEAN AFTER A GATHERINGBECAUSE IT MEANS I H AVE BEEN SURROUNDED BY FRIENDS.

FOR THE CLOTHES THAT FIT A LITTLE TOO SNUG BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE ENOUGH TO EAT.

FOR A LAWN THAT NEEDS MOWING, WINDOWS THAT NEED CLEANING, AND GUTTERS THAT NEED FIXING BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE A HOME.

FOR ALL THE COMPLAINING I HEAR ABOUT THE GOVERNMENT BECAUSE IT MEANS WE HAVE FREEDOM OF SPEECH.

FOR THE PARKING SPOT I FIND AT THE FAR END OF THE PARKING LOT BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM CAPABLE OF WALKING AND I HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH TRANSPORTATION.

FOR THE LADY BEHIND ME IN CHURCH WHO SINGS OFF KEY BECAUSE IT MEANS I CAN HEAR.

FOR THE PILE OF LAUNDRY AND IRONING BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE CLOTHES TO WEAR.

FOR WEARINESS AND ACHING MUSCLES AT THE END OF THE DAYBECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE BEEN CAPABLE OF WORKING HARD.

AND FINALLY, FOR TOO MUCH E-MAILBECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE FRIENDS WHO ARE THINKING OF ME.

Sometimes and in most things, there is always a reason to be thankful.

Oh my! What Have I Just Done? Femi...

1 comment: Links to this post
Oh my!!! what have I just done? I haven't behaved in this manner before. Never. I dont drop phones on people no matter what they say or do. But now, today for the first time in my life, I have been pushed to the wall and here I am, dropped phone on a very good friend; damn!!! This is rubbish.

Its just past 1am, my landline ringing woke me up. I know who it is. He is the only one that calls me by that time of the day, at least for the past half year, he is. Having finished my exams recently and gone over sleepless nights, I have gone back to obeying Marc's order(?) after my heart attack in January to sleep early, well, 12am isnt a bad. Femi woke me up and as usual, the normal arguement started. Well, its not arguement of badness per say, just some friendly discussion that always move like George Bush debating with his opponent before election.

Anyway, but this particular night, Femi went on and on repeating things. The annoying this is that he want me to accept his opinion which I dont argue about but like my life principle, your opinion becomes wicked to me if it flows into mine. I do not believe in biological family to the extent the world do, but he is insisting I have to; blimey!!! no way. But funny enough, I have answered his questions only for him to keep on giving me reasons about his own belief which sound a bit like forcing me to become him; poor boy. So at a point, both of us were talking at the same time. And like it goes, when everybody is talking, no one is talking. So I said goodnight and slammed the phone down. I am sorry Femi.

Well, 15mins after that, I got up and sent him text saying I am sorry but not forgetting to tell him to learn tolerance. Again, Sorry Femi for that, you are a good friend, but that makes us learn about each other the more. Hope you understand.

London's Mayor, Ken Livingstone and The Jewish Insult

No comments: Links to this post
Mr. Ken Livingstone is sure an admired politician in London; if not by all, by me alone.

I love London, though only when I arrived here; but I have always been in love with anything Britain. In fact, I am still struggling to get used to the name ‘United Kingdom’. I prefer Britain and anything British makes me ticklish.

When last year, the mayor (of London) insulted a Jewish reporter, what astonished me was not his outburst but his obstinacy to apologize. It is appalling and heartrending.

London is made up of all people of this world. Thus the leader of the city is one elected by such representation and therefore translates that such will provide an impartial shed for that diverse residency. But the mayor has let us all down.

Today and now, it is a Jew, tomorrow it might be an Asian, and the next it can be a black and so the list goes. I am so much disappointed by the mayor’s arrogance which I think he is far too bigger to portray in a matter as sensitive as this.

In my own opinion, 4 weeks isn’t just enough to prune his wide spreading wings but more stringent punishment could have bring him to a good order.

So far, its not only his indecent outburst that we have just heard over the air but we also have been experiencing his uncontainable decision at escalating expenses for Londoners from congestion charge to council tax, etc. All of which he does without a hint of consideration. If he is in the place of the queen or prime minister, we would have been better off but worst on.

It is also pitiful that his deputy could think the way she does, defecting the truth for lies. I think she should know that it not matter of who removed Mr. Livingstone, but what removed him. She doesn’t expect Londoners to go to the polling station just because Ken Livingstone is being stubborn. If we do, he will be kicked out of office instead. The panel has done a good job and such should exist to keep a check on arrogant politicians such as Mr. Livingstone and she.

Who's Terrorising Who???

No comments: Links to this post
Watching the news today with the wickedness of American soldiers in Iraq once again revealed, one wonders if the US is fighting terrorism or is a terrorist-country.

The pictures are really horrifying and very disappointing. It shows how much in most humans there is that gene of terror apart from those taking it out physically. These soldiers seem to be saying, terrorism can also be achieved hiding under the flag of great hallucinated attempts like the saving-Iraq-from-Saddam sham thrown on the world by President Bush and Tony Blair.

Agreed that these terrorists seem to flow from the middle-eastern countries, it is appalling that those who have confused the whole world on how much a messiah they are have turned to be the terrors themselves. America should be so much ashamed of herself and her military ambassadors in these countries. The soldiers whom only governments have praised to be doing great jobs in Iraq, are rather laughing it off doing their own rather resentful behind-the-curtains acts and calling the world a fool to believe them. It is horrendous and indeed very atrocious.

With bits and pieces of information emanating by the days and months, we can no longer be deceived on how much this isn’t an American State attempt to save the world but a Bush’ personal agenda which only God knows what motives he has behind it. Taking account, on how developments have gone, you can agree with me that this is Bush’s war and Bush’s soldiers at work. Former US secretary of state, Colin Powell has recently been vomiting the truth about his lies which he, day by day in 2002/2003 blanketed the world with at the UN Security forums. Soldiers’ abuses haven’t been helpful either.

Well, they claim to be God’s own country; we only pray God save us from them too sorry to Iraq and all other victims of righteous wickedness. If only you can stop destroying yourselves, then you can reproof your ‘helpful’ enemy and reclaim your rights to life.

God bless Iraq and its entire people and save the world from wicked messiahs.

I got through at last

No comments: Links to this post
When on Sunday 12th February, I woke up with a gruesome headache, I revive my baptism which happened about 25years ago. I did this when I realised I don’t only need to take tablets and that it seems a joke to stop me from going to church or singing if I do. So in praying, I diverted into blessing some water poured into a cup, re-marked the sign of the cross on my forehead, sprinkled some on my head and drank the remain which is the only part not done during baptism.

On 28 January, I sent an email to a long time high school friend just gambling, in search of my God-mother during my baptism. Last week he replied; he knew the family and after the above occurrence on Sunday, his first mail on Monday was to give me contact to reach my God-mother’s daughters. I did immediately and was able to talk to them by night. This is after about 16years of loosing contact. I think Sunday was responsible.. hahaha

Something about life is that we need to be steadfast and consistent in things we need to do. Last year, my sister asked me, ‘you look for everybody and keeps contact, what about your God-mother?’ I said, I am still searching. She replied, ‘yes, I know ‘cos you always do; good luck. I wonder if that’s all you do’.

Well, now I got through after so many years and you cant believe how happy I am for this breakthrough. I cant wait to talk to my her. She was an encouragement, a pillar, a motivator, a mother. She gave me another home away from home. After loosing my own mother in 1996, I had wished I had contact with her but hadn’t. So here I am again. Next week, she will be visiting her daughters from her village and I will call to talk to her. I cant wait for the day. My! It seems like a dream. Someone tell me its not.

Idle Hardwork

No comments: Links to this post
Today is Saturday, the 11th day of February; and 42nd day of the year 2006 (from wherever and whenever they began counting).

I have been home doing nothing but trying to get my 3 exam projects tidied up. The e-commerce bit has turned out to be very easy to finish in less than one day though the PowerPoint aspect of it is baring its teeth at me like a snarl. The multimedia one isn’t giving me a laugh at all while the web-design is just on a neutral point.

Done; what else? While sitting on and trying to be a good student, I find time to listen to my best of songs, the news and take phone calls (of course, you know I love phone calls), then I remembered I had wanted to eat okra, so I went for it.

At Dalston market (I wish Tesco sells okra), I couldn’t believe how much humans seems really insatiable. There were people every where. O ga o!!! me mind no believe wetin me eye saw! Well, that was it. I managed to shove my way through the puddle humans like one going for a ration. Got the things I need and ran back home.

I have made my okra, it taste so good only that I hate eating and cooking alone, so I rushed through it; then this mess of a blog. Now I am hoping to round off for the day and go on a forced early-to-bed ‘cos it’s an early rise tomorrow.

That’s it.

Iran, Islam and Tolerance

No comments: Links to this post
Can someone tell me about nuclear weapons, who should have them and who have them? Does America not have nuclear powers/weapons? What about Britain and the rest of their ilk. If there are countries that have such thing as what Iran is trying to develop, why cant Iran? Don’t tell me about any wrong hands please.

Talking of the right to have what and the events of the past weeks courtesy of Denmark newspapers and the rest of them, I think we are all bunch of the same crooks. Why should Denmark publish the cartoons? Why are Muslims refusing to learn tolerance? I don’t support the publication but far and above it, I am not in support of the over-reaction from Muslims either, after all that publication isn’t as dangerous as what Osmar bin-ladin and his likes have painted Islam to be? Why aren’t these protesting Muslims chasing them to destroy them?

In the light of the above, Islam has tolerated a lot of terrorism among itself and thus created this notion that it harbours more terrorism than peace. Presently, the whole world is confused what and which is the real Islam. Is it the terrorists? Or is it the peaceful ones who conduct themselves well and live and share with others? An answer is needed and can only come by cleaning their inside (house) before changing what outsiders think.

God is one of peace and can fight for himself unless we don’t believe in the power we claim He has.

Reflections and thoughts

No comments: Links to this post

Still on the things I gave a thought in the last month…

I think my country Nigeria should be prosecuted for incapacity benefit. Yes, that is very needful. I can tell you my reason and I’m sure you will understand how right I am. For a country with as much riches in oil, human resources, and thugs as she is, why would it be owing such amount of debt to the international community and seeking debt relief. That is cheating to the countries that are working hard and earning their living by pragmatism, shrewdness or intellectual cleverness. Nigeria should not be forgiven any debt nor should it receive any grant whatever from the UN, IMF or countries like Britain and the US.

Another issue is LibDem, (Liberal Democrat, one of the political parties in the UK for those outsiders reading this blog). In the past month, LibDems has made a lot of mess than it could handle. From the point they mounted the pressure on calm reformed alcoholic Charles Kennedy to resign, I sensed they were heading to real confusion. Well, in the beginning, it wasn’t a big problem, but the moment Mr Kennedy confessed his sins – I think that was a new year resolution - those back plotters took on him and wanted him to, then I knew there was a waiting confusion hole they all wanted to jump down into. Anyway, we have seen it all. At the moment, I think LibDem should resign from being a political party. If they take the stance of housewives – unfortunately, they are mainly men; bad repute – that will be better.

David Blunkett;s name once again flashed up in the media. Well, not for great elongating matter but just reference to the DNA Company and that stuff. I like him so much, in fact I admire him as a person. That regardless of his disability, he reached the level he did in government. But then I think he has made a lot of news and served enough as minister in the home front that his name is now sticky in the media’s mouth. In that light, I will suggest that his next political post should be something like foreign minister so he get to do most of his job out there or in his office with other countries.

Sven Errikson (or whatever it’s the right spelling of his names) was in the news again poor boy. Again, it’s the media. Who else will it be if not those trouble makers. This time they followed the English football manager out of the country to dig his problems out. Well, that’s no bother to me wherever they dug it out from. My only concern is that the poor man was so baffled that one of his comment is that he is fed up reading about himself; poor man. I think these journalists or whatever they are, should give him the opportunity of writing his own autobiography. I think that’s all he seems to want ‘cos he knows how much he can earn from the publishing instead of putting it in debris from Daily Mail to the Telegraph to the Sun and of course the almighty NEWS OF THE WORLD. Sorry Sven boy.

Now Hamas did not only become a political party in a twinkling of an eye but they won the elections without battling an eye. Oh my!!! That was good success but then I think they are better off a terrorist group than a political party. All the same, they‘ve won the elections so lets hope the chance and challenge will transform them. Another concern is the high blood pressure and fear they are causing Mr. Bush of America.

And talking of George junior, he seem to be a part-time president now while muscular Rice do the other part of the job. If he isn’t interested again in general governance, he can step down for Rice to take over. And as for giving up for Rice, he can become Minister for terrorism, War and Middle East affairs. Seems he enjoy threatening those stubborn countries out there. That’s why he forgot to take proper action for New Orleans, a big shame on the USA. Or what do you think??? Heheehee, well done Mr. Bush.

OK, too much politics, but what else do we talk or is news if not politics. I watched Saddam Hussein with interest as he issue orders to the judge and even reminded him that he was his president for whatever number of years he said. Makes me laugh. Of course (and I think he still is), but can someone tell him that things do pass and that no condition is permanent. But tell me what, I like his guts and he’s got them as I like. Brave weak man.

Well, my heart goes out to the family of Norman Kemba. Its really a pity that people choose to fight those who fight for them. In my original language, this is refered to as a person biting the fingers that put food in his mouth. It’s a poor manner. Terrorists in Iraq and many other places are rather taking bad advantages. People like Mr. Kemba who in his old age has left the comfort that his country can afford to provide for the poor is held and suffering for his kind nature, no wonder help and pity is now alien to our human generation. God preserve and help him and all in his situation.

Talking about hostages, the behaviour is rising in my own beloved country. It’s not a pity alone in this case but also a shame to me and many that such things should happen. While in the middle east the victims are there to help and got their fingers burnt, I think that though these oil experts (or whatever they are) in Nigeria, though for their money shouldn’t suffer such fate. It’s not bad that they are working to make a living. For those fighting for emancipation (or freedom or oil money and whatever they fight for), I think I will support them if they rather wipe out the corrupt government officials –both past and present – in Nigeria because they are the ones selling out the country to foreigners to mess. These companies pay taxes but no one accounts for it and so everything is in dilapidated state. It’s a pity how that mismanagement can be as bad. Even Satan don’t find it trouble managing hell though we are told its only the corrupt and criminal that are there; yet rarely do we get news that they are fighting, cheating, mismanaging, etc. Well, if you know any of them Nigeria version terrorists, do tell them my suggestion. They need to start their action in State house Abuja then on to the 36 State house and all. They know them and they know whose own what. Devils!

Instead of the British government creating a law that stops people from making caricature of religions, they should rather make a law that stops religions from coming to preach on the street. It is an act bigger than freedom of expression or speech. Don’t we also have right to quiet environment? Churches, mosques, temples and whatever are them, (I belong and go to the church, if I should tell you) should keep their preaching business to the church or to where they are invited or agreed to be. Not on the road with speakers disturbing the peace of every other person. I am a Christian, in that order and with my right to be what I like; I think atheist and all others have their right to be what they want to be.

Well, I say a lot and a lot of people will get furious but forget it, it’s just my own opinion and I bet it gets no where. But bear them in mind and hate me not for it, but if you have to, it’s ok. Peace

The Right to Die...

No comments: Links to this post
Well, part of the things I heard or read in the past month is about people dying when they want to. Makes me laugh but then, I think it is of serious concern to us all. The retired lady doctor has to travel to another country from the UK just to get herself dead; marvellous!

In my own opinion, people should die when they want to. Why not? It’s their life, it’s their pain. Don’t worry, there won’t be any regret for them. Aren’t we told that the dead have no feelings? So why worry. They won’t be worried nor regret dying; neither will they take the government or anyone to court for letting them die. So why being stingy and preventing people who want to terminate their life; especially in a respected manner.

It is unarguable that there is a time in a life one wishes his loved one to die. In moments when sickness has eaten him/her up, made him/her a total opposite. It is not the expenses to keep such alive, but the suffer such loved one is going through. The pains; the weakness; and all the ill involved. For such, we cannot but wish they go to rest.

So in my own viewpoint, please, British and all other concerned governments, allow people to die when they do not want to live again. At least, having that right to die can give them some happiness on their dying bed.

If you think otherwise, it’s good but if I should find myself in that situation, I won’t even worry what the law says since I know I can’t be prosecuted dead. Hahahaaa

My Generation

No comments: Links to this post
Hello again, for sometime now, I haven’t been able to put pen to paper due partly to having been damn busy in the last 2 weeks.

Second reason being that Marc never seem to like my write-ups. No praise, only how bad I write, and that’s tough especially when from someone dear to you. Its cool; but it helps me get better (for him though).

Well, for the above two reasons, I have been really weak to write, if only Marc will praise me for once… heheheeee.

Anyway, it’s within me and I can’t suppress it. So today, I just want to put down some opinions I have about things I read/heard recently.

First thing that gave me concern is the issue of SELF. I came to this conclusion after I read in a newspaper how the German government is worried about their depleting population. The report is that only about two-third or less of parent-age Germans are having babies. The report went on to say how that most of the present generation do not want to submit themselves to marriage or partnership or family life. It says also that ladies are the most guilty because majority of the professional ladies won’t have anything to do with family life as they seem to pursue their career and think marriage as submitting to a husband or …bla bla bla. Trust journalists, the write sited of course the new German Chancellor Angela Merkel who he said has no offspring and it now falls on her desk to persuade people to take up this natural hobby (?) to stop the extinction of Germans through more caring setup from government.

Another problem well blamed is government. It says the German government isn’t encouraging nor helping its citizens who may wish to have family since there are no good family solutions to professionals who would want to reproduce. The irony being that kindergarten education originated from this country 170 years ago.

After reading that, I never gave it a thought till I got on the bus from work 2 days or so later. For the first time in my life, I seem to notice something, and that resonated the issue of wanting to be by themselves issue as accused by the newspaper. Then I agreed that surely, my generation prefer individualism that being tied to another in marriage or whatever.

What I noticed in the bus was (still is) that a good number of young people there had their ears plugged; including yours’ sincerely. A second majority of them were reading something, while another batch was busy with their new hi-tech mobile phone handsets. Wonderful!

The above scenario alerted me on the reality of how much SELF this generation prefers. No one seem to want to be ‘disturbed’ by another. No wonder these days we see more of the word: no-string-sex and the like. Tells how much this generation do not want to commit to even the most delicate cases like sex. Divorce is on the rise. Most prefer to be partners now than being married. And with more wisdom, a good majority of those who get married prefers the court than religious. All these are really touching.

Now, I must accept that I am no good either in helping this case of SELF neither am I helping the issue of reproduction either. On the first, I can say, I either plug my ear with my earphone listening to songs/radio or reading one book or another the moment I leave my computer. On the second issue, even though I like children so much, I am very much convinced the chances that I will have one of my own is about 1 in a thousand. But then, that being my nature, I think that those whose nature is otherwise should do what they should. I am not afraid of being tied to someone; No, but motivation can come from respect and help of one another for those who tie knots especially among opposite sexes since females fear being subjects.

Another suggestion will be for governments to let gay couples adopt and take care of kids. This is due to the fear that many have in bringing up children which makes them better don’t, even though they will like to. Since everyone is not made to have children, there are those blessed with the egg and there are those blessed with the skill to nurse them while others are blessed with the wonderful heart to bring kids up and so on and forth.

All the same, people should be let to live their life the way they are. I don’t think God is complaining. Being God and manufacturer of humans. He can replace it if they ever go beyond his expectation in number. He is not accountable to any stock exchange or board of directors, so there is no fear of accusation of bad management of capital or assets. The concern is that Germans and their government and such other countries fear that they may be wiped off the face of the earth. That is not the fear, the fear is that the worrying ones will increase doctors’ job with high blood pressure an such other sicknesses.
